Acorn System Computers
Acorn's first computer was the Acorn Microcomputer, designed in 1978 by Sophie Wilson and shipped in April 1979.
The System computers are all based on Eurocards with the Acorn System 1 being constructed of 2 cards and subsequent systems utilising multiple rack mounted cards providing greater functionality and development scope.

Stephen Furber
Designed the cassette interface with Sophie Wilson.
Hermann Hauser
General coordination, encouragement and backing.
Nick Toop
Designed the PROM blower (used for the monitor), which ran on the Science of Cambridge MK14.
Christopher Turner
Drew the schematics and the technical manual.
Sophie Wilson
Designed & built the prototype and wrote the monitor program.
